Baptism
Baptisms take place on Saturday afternoon and occasionally during the 10.30 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Please contact the Parish Priest for an application form in order to arrange a Baptism.
Reception into the Church
Those who are interested in entering into full communion with the Catholic Church are currently instructed on an individual basis by the Parish Priest, to whom all enquiries should be addressed. It is hoped that an RICA group will be set up in the future to provide the necessary instruction.
Weddings
Weddings are conducted for those who live in the Parish and those who have close family connections with it, even though they may have moved away. At least six months' notice is required for any wedding and all enquiries should be addressed to the Parish Priest.
Weddings normally take place in Our Lady and St Joseph’s Church in Alcester with occasional weddings at Sts Peter, Paul and Elizabeth, Coughton.
Applications will not be accepted from those who do not live locally and are searching for a Church, having already fixed a date for a reception in the area.

First Communion
The First Communion Preparation Programme starts on the First Sunday of Advent each year and runs until the following mid-June. First Communion Day is usually around the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (now a Sunday).
The First Communion Preparation Programme includes preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, which is celebrated for the first time a few weeks prior to First Communion Day.
The First Communion Preparation Programme takes place during the Children’s Liturgy time at the 10.30am Mass on Sunday with some additional sessions on Sunday afternoons. The frequency of these depends on the wishes of the Catechists, who operate on a rota system in different years.
The majority of candidates come from Our Lady’s Primary School. Those who are outside the school system and are eligible to be prepared for First Communion are most welcome to participate.
